Minor/Major House

Minor/Major House  (9-12yrs)
This age group is from 9 - 12years. This team interlocks with Cochrane. Games will be played at Elk Run & OLS diamonds in Canmore and inc Cochrane. Practice/Game days will be posted under schedules. The structure for this level is practice one night and game the next.  At this level the players are introduced to pitching and base stealing in addition to basic fundamentals and team play

MINOR LEAGUE 

Ages: 9 & 10
Division: House League
Nights of Play: Games and practices are played throughout the week (as noted on the schedule) in Canmore, Redwood Meadows and the occasional game in Cochrane
Duration: Late April - Late June
Required Equipment: Baseball gloves, running shoes or baseball cleats, athletic protector,  grey baseball pants and CSA approved batting helmets. If players would like, they may bring their own bats as long as they meet the little league rules (See website for new rules mandatory for 2018).
Fees: $175
Structure of the Minor Division program:

Minor House Baseball is for players aged 9 & 10 as per the little league age chart. This age group is the first year that players will play actual baseball games. They will start to learn the rules and strategies of the game along with continued skill development. Minor house maybe tiered to ensure players of similar caliber are playing and developing together. Evaluations will be held in early April to evaluate all players so that teams can be split up as evenly as possible. Minor house games and practices are played throughout the week (Mon - Sat) in Canmore, Redwood Meadows and in Cochrane. The season will start in late April and end in Late June. 

Attendance at the evaluation sessions is mandatory at this level.


MAJOR LEAGUE

Ages: 11 & 12
Nights of Play: Games and practices are played throughout the week (as noted on the schedule) in Canmore, Redwood Meadows and in Cochrane.
Duration: Late April - Late June (Evaluations early April)
Required Equipment: Baseball Glove, baseball cleats, athletic protector, baseball pants (Grey) and a CSA approved batting helmet. If players would like, they may bring their own bats as long as they meet the little league rules.
Fees: $175
Structure of the Major Division program:

This age group is for players that choose not to play for the travelĀ team or are still continuing to develop skills that will take them to the next level of baseball. They will continue to learn the rules and strategies of the game along with continued skill development. Evaluations will be held in early April to evaluate all players so that teams can be split up as evenly as possible. Major house games and practices are played throughout the week (Mon - Sat) in Canmore, Redwood Meadows and in Cochrane. The season will start in late April and play until the last week in June. 

Attendance at the evaluation sessions is mandatory at this level.
